A LOCAL MAP:

The Hildene Estate, including it's observatory are located off of Route Historic 7A, in Manchester, Vermont. If you are traveling southbound, Hildene is .6 mile south of the grand Equinox Hotel, on your left hand side. If you are traveling northbound, Hildene is 1.8 miles north of Muddy Lane and Equinox Nursery, on your right hand side.

The entrance to Hildene Estate is a long dirt road. After the mile long drive in, you'll be graced with the beautiful site of Robert Todd Lincoln's marvelous summer home. Parking for visitors is off to the right of the house, near the Visitor's Center. Often, however, the gates will be open for guests to drive right up to the house, with parking on the large lawn infront.
