On 7 May 2004, the Hildene Astronomy Club ventured to the top of Mount Equinox to see the NEAT Comet. (No pun intended.) It was a cold, windy evening, but we saw the comet! ...and a beautiful sunset.
On 8 June 2004, several hearty soles joined to witness Venus Transitting the Sun. We arrived at 4:30 in the morning, setup our scopes and watched while the clouds rolled in and out. But we had lots of opportunity to see the transit. And see it we did! It was great fun!
