Camp-Child-in-stream-sm

2008
Overlooking the valley of the Battenkill, our camps are located on the grounds of Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home. The estate was built in 1905 by Robert Todd Lincoln as his ancestral home.

Our camps foster children's love of learning in a safe and friendly environment. Each day children experience a wide variety of hands-on activities that are both educational and fun.  Children are encouraged to explore, experiment and make their own discoveries.

Hildene's mission is to advance the Lincoln legacy through education, commitment to community and active stewardship of the family's home and land.

Hours
With exception of the preschool camps and VINS camps, all camps run from 9 am to 3 pm

In Vermont, art is all around us in the summertime! From the symmetry and patterns seen in the smallest of ladybugs, to the beautiful colors and shapes of our Green Mountains. Campers explore, discover and create their own artwork using paint, clay, paper, and nature's found objects. Paint from observation, look for natural wonders on hikes, and meet the farm animals, bringing home their own artistic replica of their new found friends. The week will culminate on Friday with a special art exhibit featuring the young artists' work.
